WebM to MOV Converter

Why use Jupitrr's WebM to MOV converter?

Plays on Apple devices

VP9 or VP8 video is re-encoded to H.264, so the MOV opens in QuickTime, Final Cut Pro, and iMovie.

Never uploaded

Your WebM file is converted inside your browser and never leaves your device.

Free, no watermark

No signup, no install, and nothing added to your file.

How it works

Choose a WebM file

Drop a WebM video up to 1 GB onto the converter, or pick it from your device.

Keep MOV selected

MOV is already selected. You can switch to another output format if you need one.

Convert and download

The video is converted in your browser. Preview the MOV file, then download it.

What is a WebM to MOV converter?

From the open web format to QuickTime.

WebM files come from browser recorders, screen capture tools, and video downloads, and usually hold VP9 or VP8 video with Opus audio. Many Apple apps and older Macs will not open them.

Converting WebM to MOV re-encodes the video to H.264 and, where your browser supports it, the audio to AAC. That gives a QuickTime file every Apple app can play and edit.

Frequently asked questions

Is converting WebM to MOV lossless?
No. Apple apps do not play VP9 or VP8 video, so the video is re-encoded to H.264. Pick a higher quality setting to keep the most detail.
What happens to the WebM audio?
Opus audio is converted to AAC so QuickTime and iMovie play it. If your browser cannot encode AAC, the original Opus audio is kept instead, which some Apple apps may not play.
Should I convert to MP4 or MOV?
Both use the same H.264 video and play on Apple devices. Choose MP4 for uploading and sharing on any device, and MOV when a Mac workflow or client asks for QuickTime.
Is my WebM file uploaded to a server?
No. The WebM file is read and converted by your browser on your device. It is never sent to Jupitrr, and closing or refreshing the tab clears the working files.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 1 GB can be converted. Larger files can run out of browser memory, so trim or compress very long recordings first.
