It scans the audio track for stretches that stay below a loudness threshold. The threshold is relative to the loudest moment in your clip, so quiet recordings work too. Sensitivity is the one visible control. Under Advanced, "Ignore pauses shorter than" sets how long a gap must be before it is cut (0.35 seconds by default), and "Keep around speech" leaves a small margin on both sides of every cut.

The "Keep around speech" setting under Advanced keeps a short slice of audio on both sides of every cut so word onsets and trailing breaths survive. If cuts still feel tight, raise it or lower Sensitivity. The preview plays the result with the gaps skipped, so you can hear the cuts before you export.

Drop in an MP4, MOV, WebM, or M4V up to 1 GB. You get an MP4 (or WebM on browsers that cannot encode MP4) at the original resolution, with the long side capped at 1920 px.
